My Background
You probably couldn’t guess my college major even if you tried…
I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2009 with a degree in Family Life, with an emphasis in Human Development. I literally studied children and families!
In addition to my studies in the classroom, I also interned in an on-campus preschool where I focused on early childhood education. I have always loved kids but that experience sealed the deal for me.
Did I mention that I had a baby of my own during that time? My oldest daughter was born in 2008, which allowed me to apply my education in a very real way.
Continuing Education
After spending several years taking pictures of my own kids, I decided I wanted to learn so much more about photography. I enrolled in several online classes and began attending in-person workshops. Through my continuing education I have learned about:

- Newborn safety
- Posing families
- Editing
- Creating a stellar client experience
- Business
I quickly learned that anyone — even my young children — could push a button and take a picture. But I wanted to set myself apart as a knowledgeable newborn and family photographer, so I put in the work!

In addition to a family-focused college degree and years of photography education, I also have experience! Heavenly Daze Photography has been in business since 2017, where I have specialized solely in Newborn and Family Photography. These two categories are my passions, and I hope that my passion is reflected in my work.
I have photographed countless babies and families, each one special and unique. I truly LOVE meeting new people, and I feel so blessed that Newborn and Family Photography is my job!

Seriously though, I try my best to ensure each family has a fun, stress-free photography session. From the Prep Guide I send out weeks before the session to the photos I deliver after the session, I try to put my own skills and gifts to good use. By nature I am laid back, patient, lighthearted, and bubbly — a great combination for a fun newborn or family session! I sincerely love people of all ages. I’m detail oriented, punctual, and organized, which helps the client process run smoothly.

I specialize in LIFESTYLE photography, which basically means that I love to capture candid and real moments. Sure, we’ll get a photo of the whole family smiling at the camera, but your final gallery will be full of photos with genuine smiles, sweet interactions, and connection.
