If you’re in the market for a family photographer, you’re probably wondering what makes me qualified. I would love to take a second to share my photography journey with you!
For starters, I am self-taught. My passion for photography really took off when I became a mom. I lived for taking pictures of my own kids in each stage of their lives.
In 2017, after years of photographing my own family, I started taking pictures for friends. It wasn’t too long after that I decided to follow my dreams and start my own business. As a mother, I understood all too well the chaos of family life that is often equal parts blissful and tiring. And that is how the name “Heavenly Daze Photography” was born.
I have spent the past 3 years learning and growing as a photographer every chance I get. I have attended workshops, online classes, participated in mentorships, assisted fellow photographers, and watched hours upon hours of tutorials and videos. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t take out my camera and try new things. I love to explore new possibilities and capture my subjects in a variety of ways.
When I look back at pictures of my own family, my favorite ones are those that show us as we were — where I can practically hear my toddler’s giggle or feel the softness of my baby’s squishy cheeks. I want this for you, too! I hope that in 10 years you can look back at photos from your session and relive those moments with your family. I aim to capture emotion, personality, and connection in each photo I take.
