You’ve inquired about a session, nailed down a date, and started browsing Pinterest for outfit ideas. Now what?
Location, location, location!
Let me start by saying that you don’t always have to have the most epic location for your family pictures. You want your family to be the focus of the pictures, after all! But a location can give your photos a certain “vibe” that complements your family’s personality and outfit selection.
Here are some of my FAVORITE places to take family pictures in the Carmel, Fishers, and Noblesville areas:
Flowing Well Park
This is the perfect place for a fun summertime session where the kids can just be kids. The creek, rocks, and foliage offer a stunning backdrop and entertainment.
Potters Bridge
A covered bridge? The White River? Tree-lined trails? Yes, please. This is the perfect place for families of all ages to spread out and explore. BONUS: The bridge offers protection from inclement weather!
Coxhall Gardens
I highly recommend this location for large families, or families with young children because there is room to MOVE. I love that there are so many features within one location, including a barn, a brick mansion, rolling hills, an amphitheater, ponds, a boardwalk, and beautiful gardens.
The Historic Ambassador House
This cute house is such a fun place for small families! The large front porch is always a favorite, and there are so many nooks and crannies to explore. It’s especially beautiful in late spring/early summer when the flowers are in bloom!
Flat Fork Creek Park
If you’re a fan of wide open space, this is the location for you. The meadow, located at the center of the park, is absolutely beautiful in late summer/early fall. This park also offers a bridge, a creek, and a HUGE grassy hill. Kids are sure to love it!
Downtown Noblesville
Last, but not least — downtown Noblesville. This is such a fun, urban location! There are colorful buildings, hidden alleyways, railroad tracks, and a bridge connecting to Forest Park. The possibilities are endless.
There you have it! Trust me when I say that there are lots of other hidden gems in Hamilton County. These locations are just some of my go-to’s. Which one is YOUR favorite???
